What to expect.
Ultimate pickup in Los Angeles is turn-up-and-play on a fixed day at a field or park. Ultimate is self-refereed and has a culture of teaching new players, so it is one of the easiest team sports to join without knowing anyone.
Wear cleats if you have them, bring a light and a dark shirt, and check the group's page for the field in use that week.
